The intimate village of Carvoeiro, that lost resemblance to its modest origins, has gradually become one of the Algarve's most prestigious resorts.

Inspite of the turistic development the village has retained its character, giving Carvoeiro a unique charm.

Another place that is a must to be visited is the historic and interesting town of Silves, ancient capital of the Algarve, with its remains of its moor castle as a reminder of its greater past.

Also not to be missed is the Zoomarine marine centre, where you can swim with dolphins.

Beaches to visit near Carvoeiro are Praia de Centianes, Praia de Carvalho, Praia de Benagil, Praia da Marinha and Praia da Albandeira.
